We’re so excited to join those who are retired, full time nomads! We love traveling the world and we're very excited to begin blogging about our travels and sharing with you some of the awesome adventures we have.  We want to be able to tell you about the things we experienced and learned from each country, the people, their local cuisines, the places we stayed, and so much more!

You know, whether you travel full time or almost full time, it’s really more than just an

adventure, it’s a way of life. As travelers, we have to adopt the attitude that we’re not on

vacation, but we’re becoming part of the country in which you’re staying.  Learning and making your own, their customs, traditions, and ways of life.  That’s how we build lasting connections with the people and countries we visit.

One of the richest memories we can take away from any trip is to be able to say “I have friends in that country”.

I know language barriers can be a challenge, but there are apps that can help.  After all, to truly say, “I’ve been to a country”, is more than just stepping foot inside its boundaries.  It’s being able to say, “I’ve experienced the people, traditions, and culture of that country”.

Also, don’t think you can’t afford to travel. Pam and I travel on a fixed budget. We are very much budget conscious travelers.  We set a budget, and we stick to it. Very seldom do we splurge, because for us, being there and learning about the place and people we’re visiting is more important than blowing our budget on a cool tour or a fancy hotel.

In the end, we travel because we want to experience something different, something rich, something inspiring. Don’t be in such a hurry or so stressed that you miss the awesome.  Also, leave the locals, the restaurant servers, and the store clerks with a smile because of your kindness.  It’s a beautiful world…let’s enjoy it, together!
